Gameboy

Can someone tell if it is possible to overclock a GameBoy Orignal? If so how?

It's possible, but you'll probably find that the LCD won't refresh properly, the comms won't work well with other gameboys, and all the games will speed up too.

Makes it a bit pointless really.

If you still want to overclock it, you'll need to locate the crystal that generates the clock for the processor. Once you've done so, you'll need to unsolder it, and solder a new one of the same type (but different frequency) in place.

They usually look like a tiny metal can. The crystal's frequency is usually printed on the can in black ink. If you really want to OC your Gameboy, I suggest replacing the original crystal with one that's only a little faster.
