Dimm, thanks for the heads-up. I'll check it out.

Caesar, there's a brief write-up of the conversion at http://www.pc-critic.com

Look in the "latest articles" section.

To put the I/O side of the board out the back, you have to use a Flex ATX mobo. In this next version, I will be using a mirco ATX with the board mounted sideways. All of the connections will be either internal, and relocated to the back. The micro ATX will give me more options. Like a 1U AGP riser so I can drop a high-end video card in there, as well as the obvious AMD processor option. I am trying to make it a cheaper prodject, while at the same time, making it better. This next one will not need an expensive POS trinitron monitor.

NiCe! My friend and I tried to get a P3 500MHz into a PPC 7200(Thats a Mac PowerPC) last weekend, and we couldn't, because of the I/O ports... Most of the rest fit with slight mods, but HOW did you get the I/O's to be PC-type?

I made my own pannel. The classic has a door in that location.

The next version of this won't have anything there, besides 1 USB port, an RJ-45, SCSI, and audio-out. All of this will be relocated to that position. The board is going in sideways this time.

the 7xxx series is going to be hell.. best of luck.

(try a 5xxx series. They are all in one machines with a 15" monitor built in. The only annoyance would be having to software eject your floppies.)

I have one of those sony burners... nice..
