Voltmodding Leadtek 6800

How would I go about voltmodding my 6800?, I am planning on doing no major upgrades on my rig apart from more memory and a new Hdd till after xmas and want to try and get some more out of my graphics card, I have googled the topic and it seems to be a good way to kill a perfectly good card, has anyone got any insight into how much I am likely to gain and the actual risk involved? also if anone has done such a mod let me know!

Ps. It is 5.50am(I work nights) and I am on my 6th can of bitter so I may chicken out of doing this at a later time

I would like to try and get my core speed up a little more and was thinking of taking the Vcore upto about 1.5v(likely)/1.6v(max)
There appear to be two ways of increasing the Vcore, either through card bios or by Var. resistor, and Vmem increases by resistor also in conjuction with adding a another capacitor to help stabilise the voltages better.
I know my memory is performing well as it is at 910-930mhz(I think its 2.8ns rated at 714mhz) but it might be possible to get a bit more out of it with increased voltage.

What does that mean :\

Flashing with a higher up BIOS increases the voltage. I have the Albatron 6800 Ultra Extreme BIOS on my GT, which gives me an extra 0.1V memory and core. Works well.

only problem is I cant use a GT or Ultra bios as the card is different and the memory is a different type.

When you sell it you can say it unlocked to 16/6 and possibly get more for it.

I'll be keeping my 6 series until the Geforce 8. I have yet to see any game come close to taxing it.
