L12 Mod

I'm going to try the L12 mod on my 8rda+ to see if i can get the fsb up abit.
I've had a search about and this was the best discription of the mod.
could someone reassure me that this is the right mod and that the wires are going in the right holes?

I can't tell you off the top of my head if those are correct or not. There used to be a guide on the web that ran with javascript. You could select the FSB, VCore, and Multi that you wanted to run and it would give you a picture of the socket with the jumpers installed so that you could see exactly where and how the wires had to be installed. Maybe one of the other members here has a linky?

OK, Ive done the L12 mod, I thought i may as well try it. used the guide above.
And it was a success!! B4 the mod i couldnt get my cpu to run above 182MHz with a multi of 11.0 without it crahing.

After the mod ive got the fsb to 200MHz and a multi of 10.5 giving me 2.1GHz and its running stable on prime. i have increased the Vcore and is now running at 1.776v. I'm getting 64c on cpu temps under stress! is this abit high?

i have attached my USDM screen, If someone in the know wouldnt mind could you check out my readings and tell me if they are ok please? And if there is anything else i need to adjust.

In the bios the dimm voltage regulator is set to auto, is it best left like that?

AMD say 80c is when they die. But I found that stablity goes at around 68c. Great to see someone else is not scared to L12 mod it's the best.

What speed, brand of ram do you have?

2 sticks of 256MB crucial, pc3200 DDR400, running in dual channel.
according to USDM they are ruinning at about 2.704v

Your readings are within the realm of what I would expect to see, although the temp seems a bit high. However, the mobo temp readings are notoriously inaccurate for pretty much every mobo out there, so as long as the system is stable I wouldn't be inclined to get excited about the temp.

At a FSB of 200Mhz, your at the rams stock speed don't bother changing volts from standard.
