| FIrst set: Bought September '06 Lowest voltage on stock timings/speed: 1.95v(stock is 2.2v) Highest frequency: 1250mhz(625DDR) 5-6-6-18 2.51v Tightests timings will scaling frequency 1170 mhz 4-4-4-8 @ 2.45v NO CAS 3!!!! Second and third sets: Lowest voltage on stock timings/speed: 1.84v Highest frequency: 1250mhz(625DDR): TESTING Tightests timings will scaling frequency: TESTING So, why is this important? Earlier this year, and at the end of last year, there have been many reports of Micron IC's dying, both in DDR and DDR2 formats. Before this began I was well aware of the situation, so decided to pick some sets up for myself. Each has died, except the last, of which one stick will not boot properly every time, however high-volt scaling is not an issue. The second pic is of the first set. Notice no gold lettering. Third pic is one ofthe new sets. Notice gold lettering. Fourth pic shows differences. I've yet to pull the heatspreaders on the new set...dunno that I will...these sticks run so hot @ 2.0v that after 8-hours of stability testing I could not touch the sticks nor remove them from the system so as to place in a new set due to the heat they gave off. It took a good 15 minutes before I could remove them from the mobo. ![]() I'll be updating with a bit more info on the new sets. BUYER BEWARE!!! Look for gold lettering, or don't buy!!!!

| Yeah, but it was nodding off for a cyber nap! Besides, if I don't understand a post I assume it's important! ":O}
