O/C problems

Actually my dualcore Opty is running @ 2.92, stable, and cool (MB->39C; CPU->40C). I haven't mess with memory yet and haven't find a way to c/c the 8800gs (the nVidia tools fails to start for some unknown reason). When I try to take it further lost stability and start a rebooting cycle. The BIOS is set like this:

365x8= 2.92

PCIE Frequency-> 110

CPU voltage-> 1.4

1t/2t Timing-> auto

memory clock-> 133MHz

CAS-> 3.0

Ras/Cas delay-> 3clk

Row Cycle-> 19

Row Refresh Cycle-> 24clk

Read/Write delay-> 6clk

Asyncronous Latency-> 9ns

K8 to NBFrequency-> auto

K8 to NB Link Width-> 16up 16down

Sb to NB Link Width-> 5x

SB to NB Link Width-> 16up 16down

Primary Graphic Adapter PCIE1-->PCI-->PCiE2

Most of the time that I make a change in memory it won't boot.

The goal is 3Ghz , any sugestions?

nice oc
maybe one of these settings might help:

- lower htt and higher cpu multi
- more cpu voltage
- vcore = 0.5 x vdimm
- lower memory clocks
- set read/write preamp to 5 or 6 and max async latency to 9 or 10
- K8 to NB frequency -> 3 or 2.5
- Sb to NB Link Width -> 3 (maybe! don't know the chipset)

Prefer 2T (although it is running with a divider).
I assume that HT=HTT (or FSB) * HT ratio is <= 1GHz.

So what's happened???
Assuming Vcore1=1.4 and MSF1=2920 MHz you have to increase Vcore to 1.45 for 3000 MHz but you should expect a rapid n (the o/c exponent) decrease there. Your CPU is aircooled?
