Apparently I am too inept to use V-boards.

I cant get the password recovery form to work using my AOA address, works fine with this one but gets stuck when I use my addy.

also I have some kind of limited CP interface on this account where I can read my PM's but only have the drop down to delete them that I can see.

anyway, looks like I'm home sick again tomorrow so I will give you a ring Daniel!

Right - I've sent you email with the password reset details. A reminder - change your password when you log in.

We lost our Kaiser medical insurance when the wife got laid off last fall. Their "policy advisor" recommended we ditch COBRA and reapply for a new family policy seperate of her employer to save money as she was laid off... it sounded like a good idea until they denied our re-application for her pre existing condition the same day we dropped COBRA. Our "policy advisor" was very appologetic but insisted she had no way of knowing what the review panel would do..

So, I went down to the El Centro and saw the M├ędico this morning, paid my $100 , got some cool new Azithromycin and was outa there in 15 minutes.

wow. another year passed already!! seems like just yesterday I was here! It has been quite a year though!

I finally got over my pneumonia but it took me a few months to come back from the whole "heart failure" episode. And then just about that time one of my sons friends was "outdoors" not being able to handle living with his meth addicted parents any longer, so we took him in and gave him a place to stay until he finished school.

No one probably remembers but my wife had an affair with a minor back around the turn of the century and all hell broke loose. Not to be outdone by her younger self, she decided our new room mate (AKA: my sons friend staying with us) was fair game for her stupid tricks and decided to have another go at the whole cougar thing.

Fortunately he had just turned 18 so there was no legal repercussions this time, but we have since parted ways so I have been dealing with dissolving a 20 year marriage for the last several months. Things are finally settling down a bit so I am haunting up a few places and trying to get on with my so called life..

Anyway, how's you's peoples been?

Hi Surlyjoe, it's wonderful to hear from you! I apologize for misspelling "hardware," my bad indeed!
You sure have been through the wringer of late, I'm sorry to read that your health has been less than "retired to Palm Beach and we're peachy keen." Thank heavens that el Presidente's ""health care"" plan will let HIM retire to Palm Beach.
Life can be so undelightfully cruel, twenty years is a lonng time to wait for that final straw, sorry bruddah!

Sixty five and I'm discovering that I hate getting older 'cause it feels so good. Hope your stars become kinder to you!

Hey SurlyJoe, very sorry to hear about your troubles. Really sux, but things life goes on. My wife and I have taken in one in similar situation, and I also went through an episode with her around the turn of the century. Fortunately, there have been no relapses, but I can certainly understand where you are.

Anyway, good to see you still knocking about!

Hey Giz! Things are going good now, the wife and I are still living apart but have been learning to forget (or at least revert) and have been doing the FWB thing. My youngest graduated high school last Tuesday and will be 18 and headed to college in a few weeks.. So... I'm almost a bachelor again!!

Wonderful to see you on the board, surlyjoe! I'm glad to read that things are improving (they sound more than rough enough). Hate to admit my ignorance. Why? There's plenty! But can you elucidate "FWB" please?
