1.26ghz 512k p3s @ 1.6

This was my old computer, But now that it has only a videocard, network card, and a hard drive there is nothing holding me back from the oc but the ram
This is on a gigabyte GA-6OXET-c which has 1/5 and 1/6 pci dividers. I just got this up and folding yesterday and today I took a shot at seeing how far I can push it.
Right now skys the limit. Its voltmodded @ 1.6v and its completley stable right now.

My pci is happily running @ 33mhz
I have kingston tiny-BGA pc133 which doesnt seem to have any kind of limit. as it does 166mhz @ 2-3-2.
Im going to try for 1.7ghz after a little burn-in with F@H

The PIII-S's were mighty expensive. Do they hold their own against P4's with the 512 kb L2 cache? Obviously, the disparity in Clock Speed makes this a dumb question. But it seems to me that you couldn't beat the P3-S's performance with the earliest P4's. Is this a true story?

Yup, when the willimate came out intel was embarassed that the lowly p3 put it to shame when the tualatins came out the willimate was only like at 1.8ghz and i remember somebody got a 1.26ghz p3 then up to 1.6 and it smacked the p4 all over the place.

nice oc BigRed...you shoulda posted it in your classifieds thread...then i think more people woulda been interested ....and yes most overclocked tualllys over 140fsb will smack any P4 Willamette around that isnt overclocked

Well at the time I didnt know, because all the pci goodies I had held back my overclock. Doesnt matter anyway. Its a folding rig now

I was interested in a tualatin to put in the BX board as a replacement for the P3-700... but I sold the rig, for a fair price and then converted to the dark side! :nervous:
