is a bios for 3:4, host/ram ratio for 4g4a+ possible?

if no, can anyone with any information please explain why not? i'd like to be able to use the 2.66b/sumsung ddr to it's full potential.

thanks

If the 3:4 divider is not available you could connect these pins:
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...=&postid=62623
This will work on any motherboard. When connected it thinks it is a 100 Mhz bus processor instead of a 133 Mhz bus.
Note: you need to connect the yellow!

interesting... it's funny that i don't see the 3:4 ratio even when i used the 1.6A on it. maybe because i had the board jumper (cpu speed select) set to Open: 133fsb. can you please provide a link to where you found this information from. i'd like to read a little before i screw up the processor.

if i set the cpu speed select to 100fsb shouldn't the board think that this 2.66B is really running at 100fsb?

ok Vatt, thanks for the link. i've read through it and it pertained to the PEA/+ or any PE chipset boards. the 4g4a already has settings so you can choose whether you want the fbs at 100fsb, 133fsb, or auto via board jumper.

in the pea/+'s case, you don't have that option (Jumpers). i'm looking for someone with the 4g4a/+ that had the 3:4 ration via the bios.
