P4m on 8INXP

I have my 8INXP and p4m 1.7 all set up, with very high expectations. Really wanting to get to 225+fsb. But I can not even get over 175! Here are some interesting thigns going on with this board:
1. FSB seems to stay at 162 once you try and go higher. Ram timing still goes up, fsb stays at 162. This is verified by easytune, wcpuid, and sandra.
2. At 176 fsb, it just black screens and beeps real fast. Doesn't even try and boot.
3. When the puter boots up, the boot screen reads the processor as a xeon!
4. Cannot use Easytune to o'clock any higher either. It is just stuck.
So, bios issue? Chipset limitation? I don't know. I was greatly disappointed when I could not get this thing well over 200. What are your thoughts?

PJ

It seems like the cpu is maxing out  If you haven't tried another BIOS version you might consider giving it a go provided you know that cpu is capable of going higher

So far I haven't had any of the problems you've mentioned with my 8INXP. Although I dint see any option to set fsb higher than 200 in the BIOS.

The BIOS that came with my board is F3

So far it has maxed out my 2.26B @ 180fsb
And my 2.4b @ 168fsb.

That is all either CPU has ever done on any board.
I am happy to say that I haven't had to up my vdimm from default thus far. 2x256mb samsung 2700 CTL.
