Well, believe it or not, weather wise, Houston is alot hotter and alot more stickier. People are very nice, maybe too submissive than what you are used to in the US or Europe. Business is good if you are in the Non-Government Organization Sector . Women are abundant, 3:1 the last time I heard . And too much corruption . I'm gonna miss this place when i have to go back to Houston in a few months. Thinking of moving to San Antone. At least they have a great NBA team.

PS, Is "alot" a word?

Seems to me you had a good time there. When you go back be sure to stop a little in Eastern Europe and have a beer with me !

Man, it would be great to visit Romania. I was on a 3 month vacation last year in the EU. Spain, France, and Belgium was really interesting and a vast change of scenery. Not to mension culture shock from hell. I didn't get a chance to visit Eastern Europe do to lack of funding and my Visa expired LOL. But my next visit to Europe will be mostly Eastern Europe. I heard it was much cheaper than the West .

The UK is majorly expensive compared to most places, so i should think that the east is much much cheaper. Go there and spend, you are more likely to get more for your money.

Yes, "alot" isn't a word. "A lot" is the preferred phrase. Situation: bleak. Air quality: acceptable. Help pull my nose out of the Sunday afternoon mud, order your AOA case badge right now. Many PM's will make me a happier work unit unit unit.

Eastern Europe. I imagine it's deadly cold in the winter. Some like apple cheeked children and the crunch of fresh snow under their shoes. Me, not so much. Sand kicked with the bare heel can make the same noise as snow kicked with a shoe. I'll take sand and a warm sun, please.

So why do I live in the state of Washington? Short of sun and sand, you could say. The sloth of the tropics, enough said.

Do some Texans refer to San Antonio as "San 'tone?" I asked a Texan about that, he replied that it was a "Damn-Yankee mispronunciation."

We certify that proper English is found on our AOA Forums case badges. You are free to modify your own to suit, but please don't insist that it's a genuine AOA case badge after "editing" it!

Gee, I guess Living in Texas for 20yrs and an avidly country music fan just doesn't qualify as me a Texan does it?

I ask about that for the sake of conversation. Not a lesson in grammar. If you want to teach grammar, join your local ISD. Thanks for going as far as looking it up for me though.

(cloasters)I was asking an honest question. No insult whatsoever was intended.

(cloasters)Sorry, it's difficult to tell exactly if a question is asked in print, whereas it's easier to know when engaged in conversation. Mea culpa.

(cloasters)I did not intend to insult rOIOe in any way. If I did, I apologize.

Not a negative word was heard. The GF/Genuine Witch is mad at me because I bought an inexpensive wrist watch with a yellow face. I guess a huge bunch of yellow flowers for her would have been more thoughtful. Winter has arrived and won't loosen its grip for six months, I needed something yellow and cheerful. Maybe she was annoyed about the $4000 Rolex I just had to have a month ago?

So she wanted a doodad for her Ghibli. Tough luck, babe. Uh-oh.....

If she gives you trouble send her over to me and I'll enroll her in VT Camp Witch random behaviour training (which is more like an institution) and they'll sort her out 4 ya. I'll cover all expenses, just make sure you buy round trip tickets.

Bless you, Chris! The thing is, this woman does exactly what she wants to. Sure, most women do, but you must remember that she is a bona fide witch. No prison can hold her, I'm talking Certified Master Sorceress.

I plead with her to go to Our Fair Capitol and set those jack*sses straight, but the woman has a soft spot for Republicans. I sure don't, I'm of the Progressive persuasion. How the hell do we stay together? Weyell... the truth is that I can't leave her unless she wants me to. In the mean time, it's pretty much: She Who Must be Obeyed.

It's not all bad, she's 36 with long, wavy natural dark red hair and green eyes. She's a knockout. We do all kinds of wacky things together, it's really fun to fly without an aircraft, stroll through palaces like you own the joints, become invisible and scare the holy crap out of people--but only those that deserve it! 36 may sound old but after you're 50, 36 and 18 look the same. Don't believe me? You'll find out for yourself, by and by.

Better get to the point. Why haven't all of our Members ordered their FREE AOA Forums Case Badges yet? Looka here, when She Who Must be Obeyed is a bit tipsy, she'll perform magic if I ask her to. Then why don't I ask her to stick one of our case badges to every Member's computer? I'll get back to you about that, it's complicated.

There was this old lady that lived in a shoe. She must have been a petite woman. Or did giant shoes once roam the planet? If you know, please post the answer to this important question!
Or don't, it's your virtual ink. OK, I will take a day off from reminding Our Fair Members that it's a very good idea to send a Personal Message to dod(it's a holiday in the USA) to get their hand on an AOA case badge.

The sky is not falling, the sky isn't falling! One could be excused for thinking the opposite in this time of turmoil. Funny word, that. When in the course of human events was there not turmoil?

Dominic and Vito don't have time to persuade every one of our lazier Members to PM dod or moi for their free case badge. You lucky bhstages

So, you have heard about the Wicked Witch of the West? How about the Wicked Witch of the East? She was my paternal grandmother. Hung on until she was ninety four. Only the good die young, is that old saw true? Sometimes it seems to be spot on!
I'm sure that a worthy woman is the present WWotE. The significant other knows her. Not quite, she knows who she is but doesn't wish to meet her. Stout woman! No, she's not on the chubby side, it's an old expression.

Add to the length of your computer case. 1/8th of an inch isn't much. Order your very own official AOA Forums case badge, chub up a little for winter. They are FREE to Members as well as Newts. You know what to do!

Have any of our Members read The Once and Future King by TH White? If so, please post a snippet about that "that Mammy, Mammy, Mammy song.." When a Member posts the context of said song, she or he will receive three of our AOA case badges gratis, no SASE required.

"long time ago
the seed was sown
a child born in Uther's name
concieved in sin
the future King
a new realm of truth proclaimed

they came from far
to meet this man
they saw he was just and wise
the flags unfold
the fires rise
reflecting the force in his eyes

fighting for the crown
pride and honor to be found

born from sin
into Merlin's hand
once and future king
vowed to return again

in moonlit haze
among the hills
Sir Mordred, Morgana's shade
would slay his king
forever cling
to darkness his powers fade

fighting for the crown
pride and honor to be found

born from sin
into Merlin's hand
once and future king
vowed to return again

Bedivere, my best of knights
this sword I beg you take
to the place where it belongs
and throw it in the lake

into the war
forever more
the people shall follow the chosen one
as when alive
his will survives
to rest on the island of Avalon"

But I already have a pile of them so pls make them available for the next person after me who asks for them !
