Mid grade gasoline cost be $3.95 last weekend. That's better than ~$4.45. Yeah, so? Guess we'll never see $3.00 a gallon again. Yeah, I know it costs ~$9.00 in the UK. And $0.73 in SA. Would I want to live in Saudi Arabia for the cheap petrol? How do you say "no" in Arabic?

Used to be that gas was always cheaper in California than in Seattle. Not so nowadays. And how do people afford the rent in the Golden State? With a median house cost of ~$420,000, I just can't feature living there. Sigh, Seattle winters are getting harder to bear. Yes I know, whaa, waaa, waaa.

Didn't someone make a mainboard that you could drop two different kinds of processors into? But not two at a time? Was that simply a m'board that could accept a "slocket" style proc or a "flat on its back" CPU?

T have one sitttng on a shelf and have gotten rid of another one, [Don't remember what it was.]
This is A Tyan Trinity 400 S1854. Slot if you want your CPU to be either a Pll or a Plll. A socket was a 370 if you wanted a Celeron.

Giz, fix this. or IE8 beta?

Edit:
I was going to reply and just discovered a big flaw in IE8 Beta that I just installed. In the quick reply [The beginning message] window was a bar that left the accrual msg window one letter wide. I was typing vertical instead of horizontally. On posting it, it's horizontal but the bar has moved to the right giving more room to type a message.

It's easy to forget that you're messing with Beta software. That's one of the reasons why I generally skip it.

"Crimson and Clover" perhaps the greatest teenage love song? In a honkey sort of way.

Me too, if we're mentioning repeated abusal of the nervous system and brain. Oh to be young and in love. Old and in love might be alright, too.

I think it's the clever use of tremolo that makes the song. And maybe "Down in the Boondocks," too.

What a bunch of coconuts. The awful truth may be that we're screwed, no matter who inhabits the White House next January. This is tiresome, the lesser of two evils does not a great ballot make.

Some people argue that not voting gives you the right to kvetch. Is that strange or strained logic? Seems to be in the cold light of the early afternoon. So, Paul or Nader? Why not Daffy Duck? Or is that too close to what's his name?

Rarely has such a monomaniac graced the tv screens of This Fair Country. Ladies and gentlemen, The Brain, of Pinky and the Brain.

The episode that P&B steal a dragon's toenail in is classic. "Yes, we should flee in terror." Steven Spielberg did a lot for the art of cartooning.
