Absolute Best

What is the absolute best performing 32-BIT Intel processor(not itanium/2). I am buying new workstation and need the best performance but don't need toooo much stability but dual processing is a plus. Also, high L1 and L2 caches are nice and huge L3 caches are a plus. Needs good branch prediction and a great architecture.

32bit ? Xeon, I guess, the newly released 3.06GHz version. But the P4 3.2GHz should be at least as fast in most applications.
