Unhappy OC my 2800+ (mabye voltage problem)

can any one tell me how i can oc higher than 2.0ghz ( this is on a athlon 64 2800+, 512mb DDRAM400 and K8VT800.) i can only get a max cpu voltage of 1.550. i've seen lots of people get 2.4 ghz on a64 2800+ is it the gigabyte K8VT800 that won't let me get higher voltage or is there some way of unlocking this. because i think that with out the higher voltage i can't set htt higher than 225 (it's unstable) so i need more voltage to stable then i can set htt/fsb to a higher level?????????????????

to my knowledge there is not a way to unlock the multiplyer of a 64bit CPU. the voltage cannot be increased past 1.550, ive tried, cant be done (as yet). And the max HTT is 255.

BTW: are you using EasyTune or the BIOS to overclock?

You ought to post this in the AMD motherboards forum instead of the Intel motherboards forum, you will get a lot more exposure to those who actually have your motherboard and can walk you thru it. Those folks don't usually cruise the Intel forms unless they have a second computer with a Intel based board.. Not many will see this thread.

Edit ... Oops I see you did post there....with a lot more response.
