I'm thinking of buying better mem for my system cus my current is limiting my oc. i was looking at this (is supposed to be TCCD acording to reviews)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820220033

is there a better choice for the money?

System:
P4 3.0 northwood @3.3
1G kingston hyperX (4x256mb)
Asus P4P800-E Deluxe

Brutal memory. It loves voltage.

TCCD to I believe. Dave, clarification?

the hihest voltage i can supply from my board is 2.85, would that be enough for this mem to overclock well?

TCCD shouldn't need much voltage for a good overclock.

The Patriot is excellent memory along with the OCZ Platinum Rev2. With your current overclock you might even be able to run them at 2 2 2 5 and 2.85 volts will be plenty. If you relax the timings abit most of these sticks can hit well over 250FSB

what would be the diff. between the ocz gold and the platinum? they have the same specs. I would like to get the ocz gold to save money but i don't know if it will overclock they way i want it to with just 2.85v, that will bring me to choose between the patriot and the ocz platinum in which case the patriot is cheaper.

I have the Patriot XBLK modules and they run up to 305HTT 1:1 in my 9NDA3+ at only 2.8V, 3,4,4,4, 2T Timings. They do the rated 2,2,2,5 right up to about 240HTT. Great memory for the money.

I have the ocz gold series and it runs great. im running 2-2-2-5 with 1t at 2.8v. Everything is stock tho but i feel its got potential. Mines for a amd system but i dont think that makes much of a difference.

i got the memory but i am a bit disappointed, i was hoping to run my cpu at at 3.6 and leave my mem at 400mhz. the only setting stable right now is 3.45Ghz for the cpu and the mem timings at 2.5 3 3 5 at 400mhz.

I'm sorry to read that this RAM isn't all that for you. It looks like we need to ask for people's recommendations about RAM for OUR mainboards, in bold text. Members help, but we need to read puzzackly which motherboard they are recommending what kind of RAM for.

It bites that we have to ask about RAM for our particular m'boards. Once upon a time...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231006
i saw that weldzilla uses this ram in his machine with great oc, maybe ill get lucky this time.
