Then you'll need a TV tuner card... MC does handle it well.. The OEM does not come with a remote, and it is not worth it... A decent TV tuner will come with a remote, and XP home is good enough.... Also, don't get the samsung DVDRW, the Benq 1640 is the best value burner on the market, bar none.

For networking, you'll need a router, possibly wireless if you wish, which may mean wireless nics as well. Overall, looks like a quality build.

The TV has a built in tuner and media is what records the TV. home won't work. I have corprate edtion x64 if I need it. Also there are alot of 3rd pary remotes. Do you think it will be hard to build it is my first.

Physically assembling the PC is the easiest part... The configuration and drivers are what can get messy. Take your time, be as organized as possible, and don't look for shortcuts. You should be fine.

I would say..Get the 4600+, maybe a better motherboard, as that's a fairly important part of the system, not to mention overclocking. Also, go with a 16MB cache Maxtor Diamondmax 10 or something equivalent.

Not only myself, but I'm sure most people on here will say go for the DFI.
Excellent overclocks and great stability.

The DFI (the second one) is the best by far.

I have a DFI LanParty UT NF4 Ultra which is essentially the same board. The only difference is the chipset, which is actually near identical to the NF4 Ultra, and an extra SATA chip. Hard to put in? Mine wasn't. Everything went flawlessly and I got it refurbed. It should do everything you want and more.

This if you can live without the extra 4 SATA ports, and I found this which is what you were looking at just 30 bucks cheaper for some reason, I think it's because it's only 6 channel audio instead of 8.
