Digging up an old fetish (P-M)

I'm thinking about shrinking my box to the size of a normal one(i have a cm stacker) and I would like to get quiet with it. So I'm considering getting a P-M( found a 1.6 for under $100 ). Does anyone here have a suggestion as to how to run and overclock it?

I'm not against going single channel if that means more overclock than the ct-479. Does anyone know which motherboard is best with the ct479 if any? I can't find anything on [H] that is useful, so obviously you guys will know ^.^

ct479/p4gd1 are the ultimate combo. ct479 needs some removed components replaced as well.
or, P4P800-SE, or e-dlx.

ahhh the p5 model is, i see now. Yay theres one on ebay...for $242... I might have to go with something a bit less. Though I did want to get a 7800GT, so I might have to reevaluate...

for pci-e dothan, this is best.

the p4p combo's are AGP, of course, so take the board that suits you vidcard.

Both motherboards are easy to mod if that's your inclination, so pushing real hard if you need is VERY possible, but even minor clocking will meet with great results, just on stock.

You might be able to gain 150-300mhz by making mods to the ct479, of course that's dependant on whether you have access to teh components need, or even want to go that far.
Either way, dothan can be a good alternative to A64, in tems of heat/power-consumption/speed.
