New Toys!

I got in my new toys at work the other day, I will grab some pictures.

2 Dell Poweredge 2900's
Dual Xeon 3.06 single core processors
2gigs DDR2 533 Registed ECC
4x400gig Seagate SATA 3mbs drives each
Hotswapable redundant powersupplies
3yr warrenty

Both with run Server 2003, one will be the File Server, the other Exchange.
Mabey I will make both fold .

I ordered the drives, cages, and upgraded ram seperatly to save on cost. Along with a 19" LCD, KVM, and gig switch. Have to have toys at work, right?

Servers were $3400 delivered and addons were another $700

I've just ordered some new toys as well

Presler 930 (interim chip before conroe)
Asus P5W DH deluxe (I975X)
2x 1GB OCZ DDR2 800 EL's
Saphire Rad x1900xt
2x 320gig segate 7200.10 barracuda's
big zalman heatsink.

Should fold nicely.

I've brought it now as i figure with conroe coming out in the next few weeks supplies are going to run tight with loads of people upgrading will probably be needing new boards, and ram on top of there cpus and probably video too. That and i've already got a buyer for the presler

I have to check my conf. agreement, but I dont see a problem.

I found out a few things...
1) Dell's new automated install assistant sucks
2) They screwed up the order, in a good way!!!
Instead of the single core processors, we have Dual Core 3.0gig xeons!!!
