The Pinnacle of Core 2 Performance: Foxconn 975X7AB-8EKRS2H Review

SysOpt.Com has this review:
"Meet the new boss, but it's not the same as the old boss. When Foxconn released its previous 975X7AA-8EKRS2H several months later than competing solutions, we had to wonder why it hadn't had time to revise it for Core 2 support. After all, Core 2 specifications had become widely known by then. But though Foxconn could have reacted that quickly, the company evidently already had plans for a Core 2 version and wasn't about to rush the job."

I read that the i975 performs worse than the i965 chipset--but, does the i965 run a Core Duo properly? Thanks for the link, Gizmo!

"The motherboard installation section essentially said "refer to motherboard manual for installation instructions". My motherboard manual of course said "refer to case manual for further installation instructions"."

You could look for it at Pricewatch.com . Could well be available to the reviewer only for a while.

the 965 is newer than the 975x so should be support the chip as well if not better. The 975x is an updated version of the 975 which was made to support the 'core' processors.
