| Many xeon MP's have lots of l3 cache, and the itanium has just oodles of cache. Newish benchies btw AnandTech: The Penryn Preview - Part I: Wolfdale Performance they also include the first overclocking results, from a 2.33GHz chip they hit 3.22GHz (460fsb!) with stock vcore! (1.15v) and its only a pre mass production sample. tho final revision will be underway in the fabs by now |
