Bios mode

in my Bios setup, in the peripherals section , i've got a "mode" which has for option
1.output only
2.bi directional
3.EPP
4.ECP

i've got no idea what are they ?
and what should i set up for ?

That looks like the parrellel port settings, do you use this port ? if not dont worry about the setting and actually disable the device. (just remember you have disabled it when you plug somthing into it and wonder for 1/2 and hour why it doesnt work ...)
If you do use it then look up what your device prefers (things like printers will work in most settings but will have one setting which will be the fastest)

#2 is probably both 3 and 4 together (EPP/ECP) as the modes are compatible with each other however some devices are not. that is why you have them avaliable seperatly

I always turn off serial and parallel ports. Almost everything is USB now. One less thing for the OS to think about.
