I like the idea that the P45 chipset (Eaglelake) is being used in a board that uses just one CPU & having the chipset shrunken from 90nm to 65. This will reduce heat and allow for higher bus speeds.
That and having a board run at 1600 FSB stock...This gives tons more overhead room (2000 FSB maybe?) to run even faster!!!
It's also nice that its supporting both DDR2 as well as DDR3 memory...
By the time I finally upgrade again, FSB speeds will be double that and I can only image how fast CPU's are going to be...even stock!!!

Yea, CPU's will run at stock with a few adjustments and tweaks!
But it takes time and finesse to do it...

Stock = Not Overclocked. It's very difficult to achieve...first, you have to set the FSB to what it says on the box (?), then the multiplier to what it says on the box, then the voltage to what it says on the box. It's way too complicated for me, though, remembering all those numbers. It's easier to just keep going up until it stops working right

But from what dark corner of this world comes the desire to shame one's CPU, RAM and Mother board in this manner!? To deny them their individuality in order to force an unproductive conformity upon them!

Let's not run faster! Let's cripple our faster runners!

The only good stock is an overclocked stock!
