"If it doesn't work, she will kill me in my sleep and none of it will matter."

LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Me too on being single...
Yea, there are times that I will get lonely, but then I see a couple arguing basically about nothing and she's screaming at him and then it reminds me just how good it is to have this freedom...
Never been married going on 52 years now and I NEVER want to get married either...

OK, looks like I have to set the record strait. I exagerated a bit about my wifes reaction. We have been together 10 years and have had 2 major arguements in that time. We just don't fight-we refuse to allow ourselves to take that course.
What would happen would be she would be hurt. She would be dissapointed and she would be angry.
I took a selfish risk that I could get all the ducks to line up right so I could have what I wanted and she would not know about the finantial juggleing act I had been doing, there for not getting hurt.
I love my wife-no matter what I say here-and disapionting her is like sticking a knife in my gut. It hurts.
Yes, I had a great time being young and single, but I sure wouldn't want it agian. Loveing someone and being acountable & responcable is a great thing. It's the cats meow!

HAH! Igot to use the kitty agian!

I know what you mean. I never try to disappoint, but we are men and we just can't help it sometimes. I do have an illness called obsession. The only cure is more stuff. LOL

No need to set the record straight PorPor, I think we understand. We all have our responsibilities and have to be held accountable for our actions.

"HAH! I got to use the kitty again"

Yea, I'm accountable for my cat Punky...LOL
He's well loved, taken care of and fed.
He turned 23 years old this year!
He's been with me half my life. One good thing about him, he doesn't argue with me and if he does I always win!
(Btw, this is a recent picture of him too!)

Looks great for 23. If our cat makes it to 6 it will be a miracle. She became quite hateful after removal of the front talons.

I have to admit she is improving. Probably has something to do with making the teenage boys leave her alone.

She can be great. I really love it when she wants attention and flops on the floor while you are making your way to the can in the dark in the middle of the night.

Thanks for the advice. I was in need of it. So far, I couldn't ask for more. Only 1 thing I didn't like. The CPU came with what I assume is the OEM HSF. (Intel is on the label) It's a very large, copper core, aluminium body, orb. In my mod, the orentation of the mobo is 180 degrees out so I was not about to trust those plastic anchors. I removed 2- leaveing 2 as a control-and through bolted.
She is folding at a rate far faster than the XP 2400+ and it is stripped down & dedicated to folding only.
Yea, I'm happy. She's smooth.

The board should be there any day. The CPU may be a lost in space kind of thing.

Good grief...8100 posts....I should shut once in a while...

Just went over this thread again & how nervous I was not having the time to research and process the info. Instead I had to trust total strangers with something that was very important to me.

Well, with help & info of the finest kind, I've got a rig I'm happy happy with!
I wouldn't have done as well by myself.

"Stock" means not changing anything from the factory specs: Yea this is weird and not normal!!!

Not my cat! The only thing he uses to sharpen his claws
is the bottom (Sole) of an old shoe.
He leaves Everything else alone!!! Yea, weird but Cool!

Yea Poorpoor, these guys got great advise and I knew you'd
be happy with the Core 2 Duo. Anyone that switches over is
with the end results!
I sure am with mine but I still want it to go faster!
Just need to earn enough money to get a Zalman 9700.

23, wow, that is really something. Mine is 13. My ex and I both got cats in the spring of my last year in college. But I kept both of them after we split up 5 years later. One of them died at 11 a couple of years ago. But the other one is still going strong. What do you feed your 23 year old?
