Real world performance will be the same either way. I usually stay 1:1, once my OC is set I will start dialing in memory timings to bring down system latencies.

This is a P5Q, plain jane one PCI-E card slot board. All I changed was FSB Speed and voltage, CPU Multi to 9 and Voltage to 1.5375 and Ram to 2.2 OCZ PC 8500 Ram 2X2 gigs. Left all the P5Q's options set to auto and then watched in wild amazement! ":O}
Water cooling helps a bit as well! ":O}

Abdul, I'm sorry if I stepped on your thread... I was lonely and wanted some P5Q company. I thought I might borrow a bit of your Cliff while I was here...":O}

As you guys know I'm not the most tech guy we have around here! LOL

But I've never seen a MB like the P5Q! More options and O/C settings than I even know what to do with, the knowledgeable will have a field day! At the same time this board does more on auto that I ever thought a board could do.

Or I wouldn't be doing much with it without extensive help!! ":O}

BTW Cliff recommended this board to me as it met almost all of my personal criteria. Those interested should know that, like most Asus boards it comes in flavors! Primarily from one to 4 PCi-e Graphic card slots... I only wanted ONE. ":O}
Many thanks Cliff, your good deeds seem without end! ":O}

Daniel

you show a 3D06 and a 32M pi time in your post.

Were those run at stock speed??I hope

If those were run at 3825mhz then we have to examine this close.

As reported by everest and CPUID 3825

Video card was at stock settings... You may have noticed that Everest is reporting Core temp of 109C...I reinstalled everest and it seems more in line now.

I tried using cool bits with my latest 2000 pro Card drivers and it crashed! So I'm using the EVGA O/C app. BUT... as I no longer water cool it, I don't push it. Not much point as Pro can't play the new games that would challenge my 8800GTS.
