Transcend Ddr1800

Hi everyone,

will the following specced RAM be compatible with an Asus P7P55 LE board-

Transcend TX1800KLU-4GK(XMP) DDR3 1800 2048MB(Kit of 2) SS.
I think it runs at 1.8v but I believe you are not supposed to run P55 mem voltage over 1.65,I am a noob to P55`s but am really interested in buying this board, any advice welcome, most likely gonna pair it with i5 750,thanks in advance.

From a purely generic standpoint, there's no reason those modules SHOULDN'T work with the Asus mobo, or any P55-based mobo for that matter. The DDR3 spec says that RAM has to run at 1.5v, and those modules are no exception. They are RATED at UP TO 1.8v so that you can over-volt and over-clock them, but that doesn't mean they HAVE to be run at that voltage; so long as you are meeting the JDEC specs for signaling and voltage (which the P55 chipset does, and that RAM does as well), they SHOULD work.

I say 'SHOULD' because there is always an outside chance that particular RAM may not work with a particular mobo, though the odds are fairly low when running within the DDR3 specs. Of course, when overclocking, 'ya pays yer money and takes yer chances'.

Cadaveca might have a bit more knowledge on this particular combo.
