We need some more input from you Spyder, what are the computers supposed to be doing? Gaming or 2D? Overclockable? Servers? RAID?

Anyway, I would like something like this
Northwood 2.2 GHz (Or better, maybe XEON for a server)
ASUS P4S333 motherboard (Or better)
512 megs of 2700 DDR ram
Matrox G550 for 2D, or GeForce4 TI-4xxx for gaming. Or maybe even Radeon 8500.
80 GIG IBM hard drive (I like IBM, others don't)
40x CD-RW
16x DVD
A good case
SB Live! value or something similar for soundcard

Better idea, buy AMD, and give me the money thats left over Unless its an OC rig, then 1.6 ghz northwood

adn not just cos u can get a big OC, but it will let you run higher FSB than a 2.2 overclocked to same speed (since thats probably all it would hit anyway!)

Dumping money into a highend northie is a bad idea. I think the best performance will be with the 1.6a clock the fsb to 150 or so, and it will rock... take the money you'll save and get a Ti4200 3.5ns, and overclock that.. Get a raid board, 2 80gig HDDs, 1 gig of PC2700 ram... geez that's only a $1000 so far. I gotta try harder:

1.6 = $140
Ti4200= $180
1gig RAM = $300
raid mobo = $150
2 WD 8meg cache HDDs = $250

Throw in a 21 inch monitor, while your at it, wireless keyboard & mouse, scanner, laser printer, inkjet, tv tuner...

monitor ~500
etcc......

I don't think I hit 2G's yet...
Wow, it's great spending other people's money.

Cool, I suspected they wouldn't be for overclocking... so I figured it would be best to get a fast non-OC CPU.
