i845G owners: highest FSB you can get ?

I have an Epox 4G4A+ (i845G) and the max FSB I can get is 160. My friends have the same CPU (2.26B Malay same pack date etc) but different boards (all i845E) and they all get a lot higher OC.
I haven't seen many i845G boards get over 160MHz FSB so I think this could be a chipset problem. What's the highest FSB you can manage ?

Try to test the board with Winbond memory or Crucial memory.
A lot of us are getting problems with Samsung based memory sticks (Corsair Rev1.1).

Try to get those sticks and set the Memory Timing to "By SPD" and disable all those On-Chip Video crap

Ok I was going to maintain my strict anti Post padding vendeta, but I had to come out of the shadows to ask Pinkamuss maximus if I detected a bit of sarcasm in what he just said.

GreenBeret I'm sorry I cant answer your question as I am an Intel i845E kind of person, that onboard Video is more suited for people Like Pinky if he was an Intel user. :-D

Intel is currently out of my price bracket. Not the bracket in which I'm capable of being in, but the price bracket I wish to be in. I like 'em cheap, so I guess that makes me a Duron kind of guy.

Welcome to AOA, GreenBeret!

After studying up on the i845G and i845E mainboards, I came away with the idea that the 845G was a better performer. I'm starting to think that I don't have the facts straight. I thought that the 845G's can do something that the 845E's can't-- run the P4B's properly. Did I get this wrong?
