can u post a pic of the board? it may have jumper controlled FSB? and anyway, if they dont claim FSB control, then its no biggy is it?

remember many boards are made for the OEM market, and they go in boxes that wont even be opened to look at the pretty green bits!

No jumpers for FSB, no DPIs for FSB.

According to the Overclcikers.com forums, there are meant to be DIPs on the board that enable SMIII.

I'm guessing there hard-wired to DISABLE on this board.

My only hope (appart from getting an exchange, which right now is looking to cost me £40) is that the BD7M uses the same BIOS and that cutting the traces and 'installing' a bank of DIPs will allow me to enable SMIII.

It just annoys me that Abit's site is not very clear on whether the board has SMIII or not and that there are sites out there that state that it DOES in fact have SMIII.

man that bites. I saw the review with the DIP's and the NIC too .. chalk up another boner for Abit

I win....

Update:

Came to an agreement with the re-seller. They won't take the board back, but will sell me another board at a suitably discounted price. *NOTE*
