It took out Nvidia again and left me in "Low graphic mode" again. Also took out all of config again. I redo both and check back.":O}

We will edit the mouse section in a little bit. If it doesn't want to let us delete the section we will go another route..

OK, this is kind of a quick and dirty method of getting it to work for now until I can get a real file built..

Code:
 sudo apt-get install lomoco
Code:
 sudo lomoco -g
if this does not work try sudo lomoco -h

What I don't understand is why the file keeps reverting back. It is a config file that is almost always played with. I am going to see what info I can find and get it sorted out.

Since when did we have to change mouse setting in a .con file?
This is strange! I've never had to mess with a mouse configuration file in any Linux installation. Did you try another mouse?

I don't have mess with mine if I just want basic functionality, but configuring the MX518 to my liking requires a little work and an xmodmap.

So its those pretty 6 button high resolution Master Mice. I can't afford those. I get the $15 Logitech mouse and it always works fine. I don't even purchase wireless mouse's

Paid $20.00 for my trackball, doesn't require the same amount of desk space, easier on my wrists. Just 4 buttons though...":O}

Didn't realize we were working with a trackball. I've never used one but I am pretty sure I need to do things differently..

Done a bit of experimenting... Patti uses a different model Logitech Trackball, (Trackman Marble FX) It works very well on my machine and hers. My trackball works badly on her's as it does on mine. Mine is a USB hers is a PS2 mouse, could this be the difference....or is my track ball going out?

Mine feels like hers light and smooth, it simplly will not travel very far when I want it to...Patti's does...But I have wrist problems and can't use a right hard or a left hand mouse, must be able to switch back and forth or I'm in trouble!

I'm buying another one like mine from newwegg (20 bucks!) We'll see if that helps....I have my doubts it will. It seems to be the USB connection...could that be right?

I don't think it is the usb, I think it is just the way it is configured that is giving us issues.

Don't feel too bad, This stupid keyboard I am using will drop the "r" once in awhile so I now need to look after I type just to be sure.

I found a USB to PS2 connector that came with my trackball...no difference... sigh..
I tried with Rez and senitivity from none up to 800, no change.

I looked at New egg and am convinced I can't do better for my wrists than what I have now...to try cost at lest $70.00!!

I'll bet your having fun with the "R's" ":O}

I tried this in Fedora 11...no change at 400, but at 800 everything fell into place!

So I can at lest spare my wrists...even if I'm stuck in beautiful Fedora for a while ":O}
