| Glad you managed to get it sorted out. I was at a loss with the trackball but it seems it isn't much different than a mouse. (Might be why there isn't much information out there.)

| The cursor does tend to jump off into no where every once in a while, I'm still playing with the two settings in mouse but the major problem was solved where you thought it would be!

| Ah CRAP! we are back to square one! No changes made , everything as I left it yesterday, but it no longer works! Mouse in messed up again, very hard to use...Cliff what do you think of that How to Robbie posted earlier in the thread? Do you think it's worth your trying to walk me through it? OK I reduced "sensitivity" in "mouse" to Zero, much improved.. but still a flaky as hell mouse...Lot of courser jumps at random... No...that seems to have fixed it quite a bit! works fairly well now!

| I got a good deal on a used Kensington "Expert Mouse" Track ball. Works fine without adjustment.. Just so you know Cliff...I tried to replicate our work in my "New" Mint 7 setup and it seemed to have no effect, I tried at 256/100 all the way up to 1200 as I did with Mint 7 "Old". Why my old mouse worked in Fedora and Mint 6 and not now... Well that's anybodies guess. Thank you so much for all your help with this! ":O}

| The only thing I can think of that may have caused an issue is an updated version of HAL. I've seen it happen with really old hardware where an update will break compatibility but the trackball hasn't changed much since it was introduced so, who knows.. The price of freedom, I guess..
