The linux world according to Phoronix

Everyone thinks they know what fast is...But Phoronix can help you prove it!

Phoronix really isn't like benchmarks as we know them. Instead of a nice graphical interface we have a simple command line terminal window that pops up with a deceptively simple menu...

But selecting choice two will bring up 55 choices of benchmarks you might want to run...

This a very broad range of bench marks for Linux. I hope you find it of benefit.

Phoronix Test Suite v4.0.0

Interactive Benchmarking

System Hardware:
Processor: Intel Core i7-2600K @ 3.40GHz (8 Cores), Motherboard: ASUS SABERTOOTH Z77, Chipset: Intel 2nd Generation Core Family DRAM, Memory: 16384MB, Disk: 2 x 90GB Corsair Force GT, Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB (576/850MHz), Audio: Realtek ALC892, Network: Intel 82579V Gigabit Connection

1: Run A Test
2: Run A Suite [A Collection Of Tests]
3: Run Complex System Test
4: Show System Hardware / Software Information
5: Show Auto-Detected System Sensors

That is Awesome!
Kinda like a CPUZ and a Benchmark all in one.
I found that clonezilla also gathers all the hardware/software information when you make backup images as a text file.
Pretty cool feature when you want to see your hardware requirements for that computer and you don't even have to turn it on.

They show a graphical interface as well, but I can't figure out if that's an old version or what?

I'll have to check it out. Is it in the software manager?
