Just with Crysis -2. I wasn't allowed to get obsessed with Cry-1 as it won't run at all and is not available in PS3 format. But I'd love to run Cry -1 as well! ":O}

Believe me.... I'll be checking up on WineHQ from time-to-time and see if anyone has had some success.
I would like to play Crysis 1 in PlayOnLinux as well.
It installs fine, quite easily actually... the menu worked perfectly for me too.

Oh, I already have sad expectations for CryEngine games...
But CryEngine 3 can port to Linux (so I've read) too.
I'm looking forward to seeing some new independent games native to Linux.

I'm Moving though Crysis 1 in PS3. No where near as polished as Crisis 2, but still a lot of fun to play!

Polished? Really?
I thought Crysis 1 was extremely detailed compared to other games like Half-Life 2, Unreal Tournament 3 and other games of that time

Compared to Crysis 2 it looks...well primitive...compared to other games of it's day...it was a jewel! ":O}

Wow, i'm still shocked to hear that... specially on the PS3.
The most amazing graphics I have seen so far are from Far Cry 2!
Its hard to find a graphical mistake in the game... they detailed everything almost perfectly!

Hard for me to say as I don't have both PS3 and PC versions of Crysis 1. But Crysis 2 looks the same to me in PC Linux and PS3, both blow everything else away!

But I'm sure I'm not the final word on this! ":O}

I'm still very amazed at how powerful the console hardware is.
But I still see them as inferior because eventually newer games require more powerful hardware and you will have to choose either not playing them or buying the next console.

I kinda do the same thing. There are some console games that I just-can't-play... since I'm on PC. I have to make sacrifices too...

yup, you will have to make a choice...
I think Linux is the future, but it takes a lot more work and frustration than just turning on your console and playing.

I just can't afford the console and the games. Not to mention my TV isn't 1080 HD.

I have too many games and too many computers to walk away from them.

Its funny because the last 5 years when PC gaming was sliding off the market, I was buying lots of games and always said: "one day these games will be a Gold Mine!"

That day will come sooner than I thought... I'm glad I purchased all of them and plan to keep em all. Not only for playing in Linux but one day after consoles die, no one will want to purchase an old Playstation or Xbox to play their old games cause they sold them all off. But I will still be able to play all my old games and my new games in Linux thanks to Wine.
Then my Gold Mine will have arrived

As for Crysis and Crysis Warhead they are way above Crysis 2 in free movement and give you a lot more options in regards to strategy. If you can play the Intel contest maps for Crysis (windows only) you will be blown by what the fans community manage to come up with in terms of graphics and strategy!

I got Wolfenstein (Ravensoft 2009) running in Mint 14.
I had a feeling it would run fine, but now I know for sure. One strange side-affect is the veil doesn't work. I'm not sure if the game can be played completely without the veil.
I'll troubleshoot that some more, but everything else works beautifully!
