2 pc's - only one keyboard

More basic questions I'm afraid.

I want to be able to use two PC's but only have room for one monitor/keyboard etc. The link below details something which looks as if it would do the job. Has anyone used this or would someone be able to suggest any alternatives? Are they reliable, what sort of problems can they cause and so on. I've heard of Belkin but thats about the limit of it.

I found a few others but this was the only one I could find which supported speakers as well as USB mouse and keyboard.

Thanks. Any information at all greatly appreciated.

http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProdu...wSOHOSeries%2F

I know this doesnt network them but I should be able to manage that bit

I have a Belkin KVM, but it's not USB or audio, just KVM. Not had a problem with it. Seems to operate fine at 1280x1024@75Hz.

Thanks both.

I've never seen that before. Am I right in thinking that both machines would need to be connected to the internet in order for that to work? If so it may not be quite as practical on my 56K dialup. My reading was from

Also known as the Belkin Omni Cube, or was when I bought mine, works like a champ for up to 4 machines. The Cube dosen't connect to the Internet, it just allows you to use one keyboard mouse and monitor and switch between computers.

LOL, I've just been through the "Why do you need two" stage which was strange when I look at her shoe cupboard

Anyway, there is a two port version and as my space is at a premium I don't envisage adding any more for some time to come.
