| I've read where many V92 Modems have a call waiting feature like that. But if you don't have a V92 modem, I don't think software alone will enable you to do this. I have one of these http://www.catch-a-call-online.com/ and it works with my call waiting, it rings instead of the phone. A new V92 modem might actually be cheaper, but I like hardware modems, and V92 modems are pretty expensive. But most computers now are so fast that you scarcely notice any extra load from a Winmodem.

Its software that came with the PC and/or modem which is about 5 yrs old. Problem is he uninstalled it as he felt it was intrusive. At the moment he cant find the modem disc. He's sure it was on that. Sorry TD, if I can get it I will. |
