Looking for a dial-up utility

I'm looking for a utility or application that will enable caller ID on a win98 system.

For example:
The few times I have actually used dial-up on my winXP system I have gotten a popup window notifiying me of an incoming call and asking me if I wanted to disconnect to answer it.

This is for an elderly couple's computer that are considering Internet service but they don't want to miss any phone calls if they are online.

Pretty sure that you can have the Telco do this--- but it will add ~$30 to your monthly phone bill! Probably.

My neighbour uses software for this as well. I'm pretty sure he's on 98 (and its definitely dial up) but I'll check for you tonight.

I've read where many V92 Modems have a call waiting feature like that. But if you don't have a V92 modem, I don't think software alone will enable you to do this.
I have one of these http://www.catch-a-call-online.com/ and it works with my call waiting, it rings instead of the phone.
A new V92 modem might actually be cheaper, but I like hardware modems, and V92 modems are pretty expensive. But most computers now are so fast that you scarcely notice any extra load from a Winmodem.

Right, its definitely win 98.
Its software that came with the PC and/or modem which is about 5 yrs old. Problem is he uninstalled it as he felt it was intrusive. At the moment he cant find the modem disc. He's sure it was on that.

Sorry TD, if I can get it I will.

Dod, if you can get it, can you check on the legalities of sharing it on our file section?
Thanks
