Hi,
I have a p100 system with 64MB ram i am using as my internet server - i wacked 98se on so i could make use of ICS - but it was not the best! i found icq sends and MSN sends were flawed by this service!
I then went on to using wingate - then i found various scanning programs - that allow people to remotely login to your wingate proxy and use your IP for there malicious attacks - wingate was good - and i used it because i formatted the server and went for a win95 approach (100Mhz was not really enuff for win98se).
Then today my network went wrong - i had not touched any network settings

anyhow i could access sharing etc - just not internet sharing

.
I decided it was time to take a new approach then i found a brilliant win95 faq page about modem sharing and took Sygate for a ride, i downloaded the trial version and within a matter of mins it was installed as a server on the 95 box and a client on this workstation

.
I tested it and it worked with NO configuration WHAT SO EVER - obviously the default gateway on the client is to be the ip of the server as is the primary DNS.
I then explored options on the server, and it allowed me to use dial on demand, so i enabled that rebooted both machines. MSN on my workstation signs itself in - then sygate on the server started dialling
A nice reliable Internet connection sharing program that will allow Dial on demand and will run on windows 95 with no configurations :>. And as for the trial running out thats all in hand
U guys runnin wingate or ICS - give this a try
