| these plans you're talkin about aren't for cablemodem right? I have ATTBI cable internet and its like $50 a month! Somebody know something I don't? Am I single handedly supporting ATT by paying out the arse?

| Ok.. so I go to the Att broadband website and search for price plans.. To do this you have to put in an addy to search for availability.. so I put in my addy.. It says "There is already an active account at this address" and will only let me talk to a rep, not check prices.. So I try putting in the addresses for EVERYONE on my block.. If they don't have an active account (and therefore are unable to check prices) then it says "SERVICE UNAVAILABLE IN THIS LOCATION".. Is this to prevent price comparison? do I have to call them and pretend to be a new customer so that I can argue the price with them without knowing current market value? This sounds pretty coercive to me..

| This is a special plan to get new customers to sign up. have to be a new user. Same thing applies to Cell Phone users. I'm stuck with a plan @ $60 mo. new plan with more minutes/free long dist. is $50. I can't get on the new plan. severe suckage.
