yowser, thats a good deal. ATT had the $19.99/6mos deal on last
year. I signed up for it and for a year they said it wasn't available.
I called ATT up 2-3 times a month. all they would say is that their
computer says 'it's not available in my area'. i asked if they would grant me access to their computer to clear the problem up. you see, my neighbors have had ATT BB for a year already so it must be available in my area. well, they found the error, now
the tech guy will be here Fri. AM to hook me up I shoulda, coulda had it for a year already. oh well. see ya in the fast lane!

daniel, the service is $9.99, the modem is $10= $19.99.

I pay $30, and I've posted my benches before... But I don't really go by that.. Using peer-to-peer dl programs, I've noticed people uploading from me in excess of 300Kps, not often but every once in a while.

As in, you send them files at 300 kilobytes per second? Or 300 kilobits per second?

kiloBYTES

I'm pretty amazed, really. I wish I could take advantage of it myself.

edit: Also, it's not one user more like 4-5 that add up to 300. The fastest I've ever seen either way 1-to-1 is about 200.

and that's probably because of the cap on the other user's downloads or having multiple downloads

Mine's crap now... 2MB download cap but a lousy 40kb upload

Damn. That is fast. If only prices would come down here in the great state of Wisconsin, LOL. Is that like $10 forever? Cuz that's cheap.

I pay $30 because I get a $10 discount for using their cable service as well. At twice the price, I would still love my cablemodem, just don't let them know that.

Yeah, I meant per month, but if it was that per month forever for $10 it would be cool. After 6 months it rises though then it's still cool, but not as incredibly underpriced.
