Broadband Question on RJ 45 Connection

hi there guys,

I hope yer all keeping good these days......

My question is.....

I have 2# 512k connections and i was wondering could i join the two on one computer so that it would make up to 1024K

At the moment im downloading half of a File on one computer and then the other half on my laptop so the download is pretty good but id like to have it on just the one with the 100% input

if so how can i do this?

If not, well then why not?

thanks all for your posts

regards

WoodeIRL

Send a message via MSN to Pitch

I'm pretty sure you can't do that

It's a bit early in the morning here for me to remember the exact details but IIRC if you have two 512kb/s connections, you will be able to download two files simultaneously at 56kB/s. Some download managers such as the spyware-driven GetRight can open multiple connections to a download site in order to pull it down at a greater speed.

What woodeirl wishes to do is possible, but technically complex and requires the support of the ISP. I think there has been discussion of this nature on here somewhere before but I can't seem to find it...

EDIT::: Ah, here we go combining DSL and cable modem speed
