I will need to know a couple things... is PC #1 connected to DSL/cable modem and PC #2 connected to the internet THROUGH PC #1 or seperately through a router/switch or a seperate phone line... I have 2 PCs at home and use the built-in internet connection sharing of XP... here's the scenerio I have (hopefully this applies or helps ![]() Cable modem --> PC #1 (NIC #1) --> PC #1 WinXP routes signal to PC #1 NIC#2 --> PC #2 This requires PC #1 to have two NIC cards, one for the LAN/cable modem connection, one for connecting PC #2. On PC #1 you go into the advanced properties for the NIC card that connects to the LAN/cable modem and enable the section to share that connection where the firewall settings are (at the bottom of this pic, NOT the circled area): http://www.aoaforums.com/forum/attac...=&postid=35611

Yes, PC#1 is connected directly to the net with bellsouth dsl. PC#2 connect to the first pc through a nic card, that lets it get on the net. This recently started happening actually, it never did this before ![]() I can visit most sites, just some I can't for example www.colorcases.com I can get to using pc #1 but using pc #2 or pc #3 I can not. I tried doing what you said, but then I could not get on at all. On pc#1 under network connections I have Bellsouth Wan miniport PPOE shared, firewalled. Local are connection NE2000 Compatible ISAPNP Ethernet Adapter (Generic) Local area connection2 Efficient Networks RFC 1483 Virtual Miniport ATM Connection SpeedStream 3060 Miniport ATM/ADSL Adapter
