Zone Alarm 3.0 update and comments

i hope this is in the correct forum.

i just upgraded to v3.0.081 on win2k and i must say that zone labs did a good job on the UI this time around. VERY flexible settings a well.

has anyone used za v3.0 on XP? i keep having TrueVector errors on v2.6 and i was wondering if v3.0 fixed it.

I use the PRO version ( Thought they deserved my money!) Love the update! Very clear and easy to use, highly recommended!

hmm, up late? or rather staying up late dano?

ya have the pro version as well. i just installed it on all the clients on my network and i hav'e found a nitch yet.

yes i think they deserve the 50$. it sure beats the other proggies out there that costs a hell on alot more. damn i sound like a commercial

i'm gonna run all the network and port scanners i can find on the net to see if the wall holds up. you know of a good site that does a descent jog scanning my ports? all i can think of is symantec and grc.

www.dslreports.com seems to do a good job. So does Shields up.

But the main reason I like them is they say I'm in good shape!! LOL

I'm really not an expert at all.

tried nanoprobe and test sheilds and it says the all is secure and stealth! status. using the older versions, some port stutus were closed. thumbs up!

ran symantec and DSLR. Browser privacy scan is private using syemantec. before is used to be unsafe. conclusion at dslr says no response.

i'm no expert to say the least. all i can do is TRY to use protection and hope for the best.

thanks for the links

It's very considerate of the folks at Zone Labs to let you use the non-Pro version for free. Thank you!
But..update v. 2.6.362 crashed the crud outta one of my machines. I finally removed the booger in DOS mode. Thankfully.

Anyone else have problems with the v. 2.6.362 Update?

I've been using that version for a long while now? I haven't updated in like a month but that's the version I'm using. Works fine.

I have 2.684? PRO.

I just tested it and all is well. No reason to drop $50 for awhile.
