IBM for me seem to be lacking a product designer. Their laptops have looked the same for years.....and although this suits some people I just think to myself they could do a lot more.

So, er, IBM, how bout hiring me for the Summer?

Pricing seems to vary widely. I'm seeing them running everywhere from $1200 up to almost $2000.

B-but IBM's laptop line was bought by Lenovo. No more IBM laptops for at least a year. AFAIK, Lenovo builds good machines.

Yes, IBM's laptop line was purchased by Lenovo. Bear in mind that the article is from a Russian site. There may be some regional issues involved in the IBM/Lenovo deal.
