Very nice review Dan, just one question does the bridge simply connect to an existing wireless network and then provide the cabilities of teh network through the ethernet cable?

That's about the sum of it.

Effectively, you are replacing a piece of cable with an arial.

It could come in handy if you connect it to a network switch. That way you can plug multiple devices in to it, in which ever room it is located in. Saves having to buy several wireless adaptors, one for each device. Handy, for visitors to just plug their notebooks in to, no need to set-up WEP keys on their machine.
