Surely most web servers don't allow such high speed connections to fully utilize their max download speed because of bandwidth issues, however i can see that it is good for large business's and things.

This is something which isn't going to be available for a few years, yet.

Come that time, there may well be services on the net where you can utilise that kind of bandwidth. Most likely it will be subscription services. Hi-Def video on demand, may be?

I'd go me one of these for sure.

Interestingly, with the latest generation of high definition DVD copy protection being just as flimsy as the last generation, the only thing that's really limiting the wide spread piracy of Blu-Ray/HD-DVD titles is the fact that they're so damned big that it costs more in download charges than it does to buy the disc in a shop.

Every little speed increase makes it more viable though. I bet if the MPAA had their way, we'd all be on dialup.

Ok, so some apartments in Stockholm have 100Mbit/sec connectivity to the Internet, so 150Mbit/sec is a set up.

Alas, this part isn't so good: "Comcast says that while the new modems are well developed, it will still take a few years before mainstream adoption". It works by utilising 4 frequency slots on the network rather than one. DOCSIS2 runs at 30Mbit/sec, but how many subscribers on DOCSIS2 see that 30Mbit/sec?

The good news is that, finally, DOCSIS3 provides support for IPv6.

I am on 10MBs now. I never actually see that. If I DL something at 1.2-1.5 I am ecstatic.

It will take some time for the other end to catch up.

Comcast, what can I say?
I have never gotten the Internet band width they claimed I would. Even when the upped my bandwidth, it went up, but stay securely 20- 30% less than advertised. That Comcast's good side for me.

I have an HD TV and comcast HD-DVR. It works really well except that when you turn it on it may crash.
When you change channels, it may crash
When you record, it may crash or just loose the recording half way though.
When you complain they say We know! It's Microsoft! (they did the menu software).

Comcasts now openly hates MS, at lest on the phone. I did ask them how stupid one had to be to ask MS to do the menu in the first place...
They said "really stupid!"

It seems the whole of the USA EXCEPT Seattle is on another NON-MS system, they plan to switch Seattle in June-July... but I heard this from Comcast for three years about cable....which did finally arrive three years late and 30% short in bandwidth....

So, I may not have the same enthusiasm as some.":O}

I'm only getting about 50% of the bandwidth SBC advertises for DSL, i.e. I'm getting the minimum they guarantee. Considering people 5 miles from me are getting 19,200 Kbps on dial-up (on a good day), I'm not complaining much, because I'm at least getting 150 KBps down and about 50 KBps up.

Is that really their internet speed? A friend in that neck of the woods connects wirelessly to her ISP at that speed. But, the download speed is nothing close to that. Although, she gets digital TV on that same connection.

Depends on the type of wireless connection. The problem with download speeds is that it depends on the server and where they are. For example, AOA only has a 100Mbit/sec LAN connection, so there's no way that you could get a full 100Mbit/sec from AOA, as other people are using it too.
