| Notebook Hardware Control NHC is a handy little program that monitors and helps control some of your notebook's hardware settings. You can find it here: http://www.pbus-167.com/chc.htm It also works with Vista.

| In the spirit of overclocking, I feel I can't just let my notebook run stock all the time. I feel the compulsion to tinker with it if I can. Since I can't overclock the sucker, I decided to do the next best thing, undervolt the sucker. Notebook Hardware Control has a feature to adjust the CPU voltage. So far, I have my Yonah at the following states running stable: The voltage settings work on multipliers from the FSB (166), so you can adjust the voltages for each speedstep setting. 6X = 0.9500V 7X = 0.9500V 8X = 1.0000V 9X = 1.0500V 10X = 1.1000V The lowest voltage setting available is 0.9500V or else I would set the 6X multiplier at a lower state. So far I've been running at this state for the last 2 days and it seems to be working fine. I might try a couple ticks lower in another few days.
