| I know if I didn't do what I promised to I would be broke.

| Corporations are rather counter intuitive in that respect! They make their money by lying cheating and stealing... but I'm sure you knew that...I just like to keep the facts on the table...":O}

| Android is an open OS. You can freely download and modify the OS to your heart's content without any problems. However not all applications that come with a phone are open source or come with a license that allows redistribution. That's where the issue starts. If you roll your own version of the OS, then there's applications you can't distribute with it without breaking copyright. The problem here is that people are getting confused between an open OS and open applications. The OS is open. Not all applications are open.

| Word. Everyone is so quick to bash these guys when they're coming up with decent alternatives. Of course you can't redistribute an application someone else has developed, but it's pretty nice that that they'd allow this guy to completely modify their OS and provide a solution for restoring the standard Google apps. This is significantly better than what Apple would be comfortable with, or any other manufacturer for that matter. Google's doing a pretty good job, and it could be much worse. Count your blessings.
