Hands-on with Amazon's new Kindles

Quote:
Amazon didn't just introduce the tablet everyone expected today; the company completely revamped its Kindle line and introduced a new mobile browser that relies on Amazon's content distribution network and compute clusters in order to speed up mobile browsing.

Specs are here:
Kindle Fire - Full Color Kindle with 7" Multi-Touch Display, Wi-Fi

I think the only USB port it has is for connecting it to a host computer.

No mention of any memory slots. Presumably, they're hoping people will use their cloud service.

I won't be buying any tablet, until they make one I can USE. As it is, these tablets don't do anything that I can't do with my phone.

I basically want something that I can view PDF's on and be able to load a ton of them. (Work manuals) I wouldn't mind a game or two.
