Where are you? New chip allows for more accurate indoor location tracking Quote:
Cambridge based technology company CSR has developed a new chip that allows for much more reliable and accurate indoor location and navigation and therefore improved location-based services.
GPS doesn't work too well indoors, particularly where there is a lot of concrete and steel overhead. Because the signals are low indoors, it makes it a challenge to get accurate positioning data. This can be improved through the use of Assisted GPS (A-GPS).
