Two Californian surfers were in Texas driving along when out of nowhere a Texas ranger pulles them over. The ranger walked up to the driver's car door and began tapping the window. When the surfer rolled down the window, the ranger began slapping the surfer. "HEY! HEY! Dude, what's up with that?!" the surfer cried.

"Didn't you know that in Texas when a ranger approaches, you best have your license and registration out and ready?"

"Sorry, no I didn't sir."

After writing up the citation, the ranger strolles up to the passenger side window and begins tapping. The passenger surfer rolles down the window and replies, "Yes sir?"

The ranger begins slapping the passenger upside the head.

"HEY! HEY! Dude, what was that for?!"

The ranger replies, "I was just granting you your wish."

"How's that dude?"

The ranger replies, "When you get on your way, about a half mile down, your gonna turn to your friend and say, 'Boy I wish that cop tried that with me!'
