| Experiences with overclockers.co.uk Hi guys, Sorry if this is slightly off topic, but... I was wondering if anyone has ever ordered anything from overclockers.co.uk, and if so, what their service was like. The reason I ask is because I had an appalling experience with them: I placed a rather large order nearly two weeks ago. I knew at the time that the Epox 8KHA+ was out of stock, but they guaranteed on their website that they would receive it in max 3 days. By the time it had arrived (which actually took 4 working days), they were out of Crucial memory, so they delayed my order although the item was in stock when I ordered. Does this make sense? Should they not have kept the item aside for my order? Anyway, this occurred twice more with the Athlon XP 1500+ and the ThermalRight SK6, resulting in them giving me 5 different delivery dates. The worst is that 3 times, I actually found out they would not be delivering by phoning them the evening before the supposed delivery date, by which time I had already arranged to be at home all day to receive the system! How they would have told me that it was delayed if I had not phoned them I do not know. Despite my regular arguments with Customer Service (which is staffed by... one (1) person!), and several emails which remained without reply, I will be receiving no compensation whatsoever for the delay. At last notice, the system should be arriving tomorrow. We shall see. On the other hand, they do seem to have very good prices and a great range of products; so before I vow to never buy anything from them again, I'd like to know if my situation was a one off occurrence. Any input would be great! Cheers, rewbs..

| Gots to agree with Pinky on that... even a little more cash for the product is worth getting orders on time... IMHO |

| After 2 weeks... wrong processor! Well... I finally got the system yesterday only to find out that they've sent me an Athlon MP 1Ghz rather then my Athlon XP 1500+. I'm quite pissed off. What do you reckon I should do now?

| my order came through fine, in fact a day earlier than i expected! they emailed me to say that it would be delayed one day due to an anthrax scare (this is why the crucial pc2100 was late) so i dont believe it to be there fault. as to sending a 1ghz MP.... that isnt right, as to compensation.... its not like it has lost you money so you cant realistically expect any.

| Ive ordered a lot of stuff from OcUK and have had no problems whatsoever. A number of times my stuff has actually arrived early, which cant be a bad thing. Its unfortunate that sometimes things are held up through no fault of the companies or person ordering, thats just the way it goes .Order from them again and ill bet you dont have any probs. Spode, dont think its very fair to call anyone a ****** on a BB is it? Dont suppose youd like anyone to slag you off knowing theres a good chance there comments would go undetected. If you have a problem with someone the grown up thing to do is e-mail the person in question, not slag them off and possibly taint the view of that person in others eyes. FWIW i dont think that he is and neither do the countless people who: a.) Buy from his store. b.) Visit his forums. Dave
