And in the today only section it's actually only £375

only £375 for the bottom of the line X2.
Proceeds to laugh and wish amd well in there anti trust suit and that they might make a profit for the first time in along time. oh i wont be buying any of there chips though at that price.
I'd rather have a pair of 3Ghz noccona xeons which cost £190 each

I wouldn't be so quick to laugh. thats £372 for a dual core 2.2ghz chip. Now remember that a 2.2Ghz A64 is a 3500+, so thats two 3500+ cores for about the price of two 3500's, not good value but not bad either. Then factor in how much cheaper an S939 board is over a dual xeon board or dual core compatable LGA775 board, and it's not such bad value.

As I've said before about the X2's, it's not that the current range are bad value, just that AMD don't have the low end covered like intel

I need to sit down and make my post about the AMD Tech Tour that I went to yester day. My brother got a copy of Win64 a mobo and a 3200+ 939 for $250.

A copy of window's server (64) a dual mobo and two single core 939 3200+ for $500

Thats one kick ass system if he's running two 275's though $500 sounds way way too low for that, you'd pay more than double that for a single 275
